The cable car at a glance
The Hon Thom cable car links An Thoi and Sunset Town in the south of Phu Quoc with Hon Thom island. The national tourism organization gives the ride as about 15 minutes in each direction. That does not include time in the queue, which depends on the day and the hour.
The operator, Sun World, lists its address as Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang Province. Older material that says Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang is out of date. This site is independent and is not run by Sun World. The cable car is one part of a day that can also include Aquatopia and Exotica on Hon Thom, plus Kiss Bridge and the evening show, which our Sunset Town page covers.

Ticket prices in 2026
Prices are taken from the operator's Tet 2026 article, dated 23 January 2026. They were published for the Tet holiday, so they are not a promise for the whole year.
| Ticket | Price (VND) | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Adult, return | 850,000 | Includes cable car, Aquatopia and Exotica |
| Child 1.00 to 1.40 m, return | 700,000 | Priced by height, not by age |
| Child under 1.00 m | Free | โ |
| Adult, cable car with mango lunch buffet | 1,150,000 | Buffet 11:00โ14:30 |
| Child, cable car with mango lunch buffet | 900,000 | Check the package details |
Children are priced by height. How a child of exactly 1.40 m is treated is not clearly spelled out in the article, so ask at the counter if your child is close to the limit. An online offer has also been listed from VND 825,000 for the cable car alone. Treat that as a promotion with no guaranteed final price, and check the total at checkout.

What the ticket includes
The package above is more than a one-way fare.
The cable car, return
The adult price covers the ride out and back. Do not assume that every ticket sold is a plain transport fare, and do not assume that every extra inside the park is free.
Aquatopia
Entry to the water park is part of the package described in the operator's article. Ask at the gate about slide times, size and weight limits, locker prices and swimwear rules. The park's general hours do not apply to every slide.
Exotica
Exotica is also in the package. Ask on arrival which attractions are open that day.
Lunch
The buffet combination adds a mango lunch buffet served from 11:00 to 14:30. If you want it, plan the ride so that you arrive in that window.
Opening times: two versions
The sources do not agree, so do not plan around a single timetable. The park overview shows 09:30 to 17:00 and warns that hours can change. That is the displayed park span, not a full departure table. The Tet article gives the cable car itself as 09:00 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 17:00, which implies a break around midday.
Both figures come from the operator, and the difference may be a matter of season or of what each page describes. Check the schedule for your date and ask at the An Thoi station. Do not count on the cable car running without a break.
A reseller site mentions a temporary suspension on 8 September 2026. Treat that as a reminder that closures can happen, and check the operator's current status before you travel.

Buying tickets and getting there
The cable car starts at the An Thoi station.
Buy online or at the station
The operator sells tickets online and at the An Thoi station on the day of your visit. It recommends buying in advance. That is advice, not a rule, and no general requirement to book online is documented.
From the airport
The airport lists ride-hailing to An Thoi at about 25 to 30 minutes and an estimated VND 200,000 to 250,000 per trip. Prices vary with demand and the vehicle, so treat them as a guide.
Combine it with Sunset Town
The station is in the Sunset Town area, which makes it easy to pair a morning ride with Kiss Bridge in the evening. Read the Sunset Town guide for the bridge, show and bazaar.
Pick the right day
Rain affects the whole trip. Check the weather page for monthly rainfall, and see where to stay if you want a base near An Thoi.
For a bigger day out, read about the VinWonders theme park and the Safari, or compare all twelve highlights in our things to do list. Fansipan near Sapa in northern Vietnam has its own guide for a very different kind of ride.
